Salaries can vary from state to state and once again depending upon the company you work for. Working for a dealership or large company will without a doubt pay more than working for mom-and-pop shop. The average salary for automotive repair man with an ASE certification is between $35,000 and $50,000 per year. Being specialized in certain models or having extra certifications of course will increase your salary.
